My Journey
I started out as a short and thin little kid and somewhere along the way that changed (apart from the short part!)
In 2006, at 20 years old and 152cm tall, I weighed 80.6kg. I joined Tony Ferguson to lose weight, and over the space of around 4 months, I lost 10kg. Unfortunately once I stopped doing the Tony Ferguson program, I gained that weight back by the end of 2007.
In August 2008, at 79.7kg, I began trying to lose weight again. This time I used the website http://www.calorieking.com.au, and began working with calories. I found it pretty easy to lose weight this way, and exactly one year to the day I began CalorieKing, I had lost 20kg! In november 2009 I weighed in at 52.60kg! (That’s a loss of 27.1kg!) When I first started out, I was doing some exercise (mainly on the treadmill and the Wii-Fit), however I eventually gave that up. I am not a sporty person by any stretch of the imagination, and I guess I figured that I knew I would not continue with exercise after I lost weight, and I would prefer to continue calorie counting and lose weight, than to give up all together because I didn’t want to exercise!
Now in August 2010 I weigh 58kg, so I have gained a couple of kilos back but have been sitting on this weight for a few months now, so I figure that this is where I am meant to be! And I am happy to stay here! Before I was wearing size 16 clothes, and now wearing size 8-10. (My work shirts are size 6! But I don’t think they are sized very well!)
I have suffered a little bit from the lack of exercise – I am still pretty flabby, but I am OK with that. I would prefer to be 58kg and flabby than 80kg and flabby!
